One of the things I'd like to check is to see if we're all universal donors. I know that my friends and I are, and I know that's the case with you and Connor. But there are others who were changed by coming here. A lot of them spoke to Stephen Strange the other day.

Unfortunately, those very same people were ... reluctant to do any kind of testing, so we might have to hold right now.

It depends. This world isn't exactly lacking for people, so all the conclusions I'd draw would be based on a very different outcome. I do think that we're meant to be used for something, but I just don't know what.

As for those who opted out—I can't say. I don't get the sense that it's distrust toward me, but distrust in general. For whatever came before.

[That's the gist and sense that both Loki and Thor had given her.]

I'm not sure if you can answer this: how were androids introduced to your world? I'm not even sure if it's relevant, but I'm curious.

[She's wondering if there's some greater purpose to all of them. She agrees with what Markus has to say, about what's happened to them. To all of them. Even if she benefited more than most—a fact that she keeps close to her chest—she knows the pain of being ripped away from the familiar and told to survive the unknown. Of being asked to be or do something without ever fully understanding the question.

It's her second time through this, and she's not certain where she stands. How she should stand. What she should do. It all remains as one giant unknown.]

I guess I was wondering if we were part of some "line," if you will. Introduced to the world to see how we manage now. Whatever's in our chests is a part of this, as that's another factor that's definitely the same.

They even made certain to install the neural implants that people need in this world. It's a way of monitoring without tracking.

Admittedly, I'm just theorizing here.

[Hm, that does make sense. If they were targeted in what they were doing.]

You're both prototypes, so you've both been "test runs." It could be useful to know down the line.

Right now, we know one thing. We all have something blue and glowing in our chests. It glows for some more than others, but we all have it. Several people have reported that spot being the way that new objects have been brought here. Supposedly. This is assuming that it wasn't somehow transferred from one place in this world to another.

Which I think is more likely. More scientifically possible. Except for where our bodies are a factor in it all.

That's right. I have no way of verifying it myself. I haven't "lost" anything.

[Even her blood is still black.]

Not in the way that people are describing.

Well, at least not that I think. I had my DNA altered to handle large amounts of radiation. I don't know if that still stands, but my blood is still the same color. Black. The crash I was in from the start made it hard for me to pass on finding that particular answer.

[The only problem is that her involvement in making Nightblood was more on the ethical side of things than the biological. She couldn't tell if her blood could still do the same thing, and it's not like she has an opportunity to expose herself to radiation here. It wasn't even easy back home before Praimfaya's effects started to hit.]

Not without a chamber to test it, and I have to admit that I've been enjoying a life without the constant effects of radiation poisoning. I still get it. I just have to metabolize it.

Still, we may have to ask Morningstar if they have a way to test it and the means to help with the treatment if I don't get better in a couple days.

[Because that is the other side of the risk.]
strove: (we just want no opinions ever)

It's a risk I'm willing to take, but I'd prefer that we try other options to see about changed DNA and biological makeup first.

[There may even be those who haven't revealed that much about themselves just yet.]
strove: (can I borrow your face cream?)

No.

Just—listen to what everyone says about themselves moving forward. There may be some clues inherent in what we find there.

Smart. It's what I've been doing, too. I just hope it comes to something.

I guess it goes around.
